Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Constitutional Court has ruled on 310 disputes over the results of the 2024 regional elections, allowing 40 cases to proceed to the evidence phase while dismissing 270 others.
Of the dismissed cases, 227 were rejected due to formal deficiencies, 29 were withdrawn by petitioners, eight were dropped due to no-shows, and six were deemed outside the Court’s jurisdiction. Most rejections stemmed from petitioners lacking legal standing or failing to meet procedural requirements, according to antaranews.com on Thursday (6/2/2025).
The 40 cases advancing to the evidence phase include disputes over three gubernatorial, three mayoral, and 34 regency elections. Follow up hearings are scheduled from 7 to 17 February 2025, with final rulings expected by 24 February 2025.
The Court emphasized that disputes must focus on election results as determined by the General Elections Commission (KPU), not ancillary documents like meeting minutes.
