inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Budi Gunawan said that his party through the corruption prevention desk managed to save state funds amounting to Rp6.7 trillion.
The saving of state funds was carried out through various corruption cases handled by several agencies under the desk including the Attorney General's Office, the Indonesian National Police (INP), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and several related agencies.
"In the period since the desk was formed in October 2024, which is approximately 3 months until now, the desk has succeeded in saving the state losses of approximately IDR 6.7 trillion," said the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs on Thursday (1/2/2025).
He said that this achievement was a form of party's commitment in carrying out President Prabowo Subianto's order, namely eradicating corruption in the first 100 days of the cabinet's work.
Despite having successfully saved the country from losses of IDR 6.7 trillion, the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs ensured that his desk's performance would not slacken.
Various efforts to prevent and uncover corruption cases will continue to be carried out in accordance with the President's mandate. The Coordinating Minister Budi also asked all government agencies to help prevent corruption internally by creating a transparent bureaucracy.
He also gave an example of the use of a digital system in the procurement of goods and services in an agency.
"The desk will continue to encourage the use of digital technology such as e-catalog, also e-government in all ministries, institutions and local governments to reduce the risks or opportunities for corruption," explained the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs.
Finally, he also asked all ministries and institutions to report as early as possible if they find indications of corruption in their respective places.
With a strong collaboration between the corruption prevention desk and all ministries or institutions, Budi Gunawan is confident that corruption prevention can be carried out optimally.
