Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Finance have restored the sports budget after previous adjustments due to the government’s efficiency directive.
Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo said on Saturday (15/3/2025) that national training camps (Pelatnas) would continue smoothly.
“Good willing, programs will expand, not be disrupted,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Initially, budget cuts prioritized the 2026 Asian Games and the 2028 Olympics. However, the revised allocation now includes preparations for the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.
“Sports require long-term planning, from SEA Games to Asian Games and the Olympics,” Dito added, saying that while the government is required to shift priorities to excel at the Olympics.
