inp.polri.go.id - Timika. The Law Enforcement Task Force of the Damai Cartenz Operation conducted an in-depth interrogation of Yekis Wanimbo. This examination was conducted to trace the truth of the mention of the name Yoyakim Mujizau.

From the examination, it was discovered that the name Yoyakim Mujizau appeared through the Truecaller name search application, based on the number stored on Yekis Wanimbo's cellphone with the name "TUI". However, after an intensive examination, the name had no direct connection to Yekis Wanimbo.

"Based on Yekis Wanimbo's statement, no direct relationship was found with Yoyakim Mujizau. The name appeared from a contact search application, but after a thorough investigation, the owner of the number turned out to be his relative, DS, who is also suspected of using a Facebook account named WST. This is the subject of further investigation," said the Head of Damai Cartenz Operation, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, Friday (6/13/2025).

Head of Public Relations Task Force for Damai Cartenz Operation, Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo added that Yekis admitted to coming to Timika with the aim of selling raw gold to meet the needs of his family who live in Kwamki Lama. He also said that he had received family information from DS regarding the sad news of two of his relatives who died in Puncak and Wamena.

"We ensure that the process of in-depth interrogation of the wanted man is carried out according to procedure and will continue to be developed. We also appeal to the public not to easily believe information from unclear sources," he said.
