Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. A traditional market in Palu City was targeted by Central Sulawesi Regional Police for spraying disinfectants, Tuesday (06/22/2021). The activity was carried out ahead of celebrating the 75th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day.
The release of personnel and the disinfectant spraying fleet was carried out on Samratulangi Street, Palu City, by the Director of Traffic Security of Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Kingkin Wisuda. A total of 8 units of vehicles were deployed, 2 units of AWC vehicles, 1 unit of KBR, and 5 units of patrol and guardian unit (Patwal Dit) vehicles of Central Sulawesi Regional Police.
The locations targeted for spraying are four traditional markets in Palu City. These locations were chosen because they were considered vulnerable to the spread of Covid-19 because of the crowd. "Our targets are the Old Market, the Manonda Inpres Market, the Tavanjuka Market, and the Masomba Market," the Head of Public Affairs of Central Sulawesi Regional Police explained, Police Grand Commissioner Didik Supranoto.
Besides spraying, police will also distribute aid packages containing nine-basic-necessities, hand sanitisers, and masks to residents until the celebration of Bhayangkara Day on July 1. On July 1, Central Sulawesi Regional Police will also give rewards to residents who have the same birthday as the celebration of Bhayangkara Day
"This is part of the social service carried out by Central Sulawesi Regional Police ahead of Bhayangkara Day. We hope we can help to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic," he concluded.
