inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian said that Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijriah is a moment to contemplate sacrifice, not only by sacrificing animals, but also making sacrifices for the nation, one of which is by working better for the community.

"Saya kira perlu berkontemplasi untuk meningkatkan supaya lebih banyak berkurban bukan dalam bentuk hewan, melainkan dalam bentuk pengorbanan untuk berbakti dan bekerja lebih baik, terutama pemerintah kepada masyarakat, bangsa, negara,” kata Tito usai salat Id di Masjid Istiqlal, Jakarta, Jumat.

“I think it is necessary for us to also gives sacrifice, not through animals, but through hard work,” says Tito after Eid prayer at Istiqlal Mosque.

The Minister of Home Affairs interpreted sacrifice in everyday life as a form of sacrifice for the benefit of the nation.

"I think the value is almost the same. Sacrifice, sacrificing what we have, for those we love, for the interests of society, nation, and state," he said.

Tito on Friday performed Eid prayers at the largest mosque in Southeast Asia together with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Indonesian National Military Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and other ministers of the Red and White Cabinet.
