Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police confirmed that no one was injured after a large tree fell on two taxis along Jalan Wahidin Raya, Sawah Besar, during a sudden storm on Friday afternoon (14/11/2025).
“Two taxis were hit by the fallen tree, but there were no casualties. Both drivers are safe,” Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintedent Susatyo Purnomo Condro said, as cited by antaranews.com.
Authorities immediately evacuated the damaged vehicles while clearing the debris that had blocked the road. The incident occurred around 1 pm local time when heavy rain and strong winds swept across Central Jakarta.
Head of Central Jakarta’s Parks and City Forest Office Mila Ananda said her team had completed the cleanup. She confirmed the tree collapse was caused by extreme weather.
Videos circulating online show a large tree completely covering both taxis, with branches sprawling across the roadway. Traffic was temporarily disrupted but returned to normal following the evacuation.
