inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Budi Gunawan says the menu of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has enough nutrition despite the lack of milk.

“It is variative as we have just started. Although some of the milk did not have the milk, the menu still has enough nutrition,” says Budi Gunawan on Tuesday (1/14/2025).

He explains that the priority program of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuing Raka will continue to be implemented gradually in Indonesia.

Other than for the students, the MBG program also aims at pregnant ladies and mothers in meeting the child nutrition from very early age.

The early MBG program was conducted simultaneously in 26 provinces in Indonesia on January 6th, 2025.

There are four targets that are set as goals of the program, which are preparing a leading human resource, reducing the number of stunting cases, suppressing the number of poverty, and pushing the local economy.
 
The government has budgeted IDR 71 trillion for the program and will likely add IDR 140 trillion for the next period.
