Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian has ordered all regional governments to establish Cyber Incident Response Teams by 30 September 2025 to protect public service systems from hacking and data breaches.

“In essence, I urge colleagues to follow up and anticipate cyberattack and data leak incidents in regional systems,” he said in a statement on Monday (11/8/2025).

The mandate is outlined in a joint circular issued with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) on 11 June 2025, detailing requirements for forming the teams, recruiting IT-proficient personnel, and allocating dedicated budgets.
