inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Director General of Hajj and Umrah Organizing, Hilman Latief, proposed that the 2025 Hajj costs paid by pilgrims be IDR 55 million. 

This was revealed in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) Hajj Working Committee Meeting discussing the components and formulation of the 2025 hajj costs.

"The components that are charged directly to the hajj pilgrims using the basic assumptions above. The government proposed a cost for the amount of Hajj Pilgrimage Travel Cost (Bipih) 1446 Hijri or 2025 AD of IDR 55,593,201.57 consisting of several components," he said, as reported by the RRI on Monday (1/6/2025).

In his statement, he said, the proposed hajj cost was lower than the previous hajj cost proposal of IDR 65 million. Meanwhile, the total BPIH was initially IDR.89 million, which decreased from the initial proposal from the Government of IDR 93 million.

"From that amount, we mentioned that the BPIH that we conveyed on this occasion is IDR 89,666,469.26. The Bipih in question is the burden that will be paid by each pilgrim," he explained.

Furthermore, he also added, the cost paid by the pilgrim is proposed at IDR 55 million. With that calculation, the benefit value is IDR 34,073,267 with a cost percentage of 62 percent and a benefit value of 38 percent.
