Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI)’s Habema Task Force evacuated teachers attacked by the armed Free Papua Organization in Anggruk District, Yahukimo, Papua Mountains, on Sunday (23/3/2025).
"The evacuation was carried out under tight security due to the volatile situation. Despite challenging terrain and threats, the victim’s body was transported to Dekai Airport for identification," said Lieutenant. Colonel Gustiawan, the Commander of Rajawali II Task Force.
One teacher, identified as Rosalina, was found dead, while six others— identified Vidi, Cosmas, Tari were seriously injured, and Vanti, Paskalia, Irmawati were lightly injured—were rescued after the armed group burned their school on Friday.
