inp.polri.go.id - Riau. The Riau Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate managed to uncover illegal logging practices in Kampar Regency. Police officers arrested four people and identified them as suspects.
The four people were suspected of managing oil palm plantations without permits in the Limited Production Forest and Si Abu Protected Forest areas in Balung Village, XIII Koto Kampar District.
The case was uncovered after the police received a complaint from the public at the end of May 2025.

In his statement, he emphasized that the police firmly committed to taking firm action against all forms of crime that threaten environmental sustainability and the sustainability of natural resources.
He ensured that there is no tolerance for forest destruction. According to him, law enforcement against perpetrators of environmental crimes is part of the police's efforts to save the future of the ecosystem and society.
