inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati stated that Indonesia prioritizes the principles of sustainability and inclusiveness in realizing its development commitments.

"Infrastructure development is not just about connecting roads, ports, and cities, but also mitigating their impacts," said the Minister of Finance, Friday (6/13/2025).

However, she continued, the success of this step cannot only rely on the government, but also requires involvement from the private sector, strategic partnerships, and financing innovation.

To that end, Indonesia continues to strengthen various supporting policies and instruments.

One of them is by creating an environmental, social, and governance (ESG)-based framework for infrastructure financing since 2022. Through this framework, the government has succeeded in attracting investment worth 18.8 billion US dollars.

Then, the government also supports Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects through the Project Development Facility (PDF), Viability Gap Fund (VGF), Government Guarantee through the Indonesia Infrastructure Guarantee Fund (IIGF) by PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), and Availability Payment for strategic projects.

In parallel, the government is developing the SDG Indonesia One (SIO) platform. SIO is a blended finance platform run by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) under the Ministry of Finance.

Through SIO, the government has collected investment of US$3.29 billion from the commitment of 38 partners, of which US$396 million has been realized.

Another step taken by the government is the issuance of sharia green bonds or Green Sukuk, both globally and domestically.

Since it was first released in 2018, the government has issued Greek Sukuk of US$6.6 billion (IDR 106.92 trillion at an exchange rate of IDR 16,200 per US dollar) globally and IDR 78.8 trillion domestically.

"Let us continue to work together to achieve Indonesia's development goals, while maintaining the environment and the earth where we live," said the Minister of Finance.
