Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita highlighted the long-standing diplomatic ties between Indonesia and Brazil, which have been in place since 1953.

“Indonesia’s export value to Brazil increased by 9.31 percent in 2024, which is a positive indicator of the potential for ongoing cooperation,” he said on Thursday (22/5/2025),  describing Brazil as a strategic partner for Indonesia in Latin America..

Looking ahead, he said, “We will focus on strengthening cooperation in strategic sectors such as renewable energy based on bio-resources, maritime and aerospace industries, processing of fisheries and livestock products, and agribusiness.” 

Through closer ties with Brazil and other BRICS countries, Indonesia aims to boost trade, enhance industrial competitiveness, and support sustainable growth, as reported by antaranews.com
