Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia announced on Friday (23/5/2025) 18 downstream industrial projects worth nearly USD 45 billion, set to commence in June 2025.

The initiatives span sectors such as nickel, bauxite, oil refining, coal gasification (DME), fisheries, agriculture, forestry, and electric vehicle battery ecosystems.

"In June, we’ll break ground for the CATL battery ecosystem in partnership with state-owned enterprises. After that, we’ll proceed to the next phase," he told reporters after a cabinet meeting with President Prabowo Subianto, as reported by antaranews.com.

The minister emphasized that funding would primarily come from Indonesia’s sovereign fund Danantara, depending on the ownership share in each project. If the majority stake is Indonesian, Danantara will lead financing.

Minister  Bahlil reaffirmed President Prabowo’s directive that the projects must reflect national interests.

“This is a “Red and White” initiative—we’ll ensure the majority ownership remains with the state,” he asserted.
