Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru has facilitated the repatriation of 2,449 undocumented Indonesian migrant workers deported from Malaysia between January and May 2025.

The latest group of 196 deportees returned from Malacca to Dumai, Riau, on Saturday (31/5/2025)—marking the largest single repatriation among 17 operations so far this year, Consul General Sigit S. Widiyanto said.

“To all returnees, please follow official procedures if you plan to work abroad again. Avoid illegal channels and don’t trust third parties promising jobs without proper documentation,” he advised, as quoted by antara news.com.

Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Minister Abdul Kadir Karding welcomed the returnees in Dumai, urging all migrant workers to work legally to avoid deportation and reaffirming the government's commitment to protect all Indonesian Migrant workers.
