Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Ministry of Agriculture held a coordination meeting on Monday (13/1/2025) to accelerate Indonesia’s 2025 Corn Self-Sufficiency Program.
The meeting, chaired by Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo, the INP Head of Food Task Force, was attended virtually by Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman and regional leaders.
Chief Dedi said the program aims to utilize 1.7 million hectares of dry and plantation land, increasing corn production by four million tons and boosting national output by 25%. The INPi has also launched a digital platform to streamline land allocation, aid distribution, and harvest supervision.
“This initiative supports the government’s food security goals and ensures effective collaboration across ministries,” Chief Dedi said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman praised the INP’s efforts, noting, “Their support motivates farmers, ensuring better prices and productivity.”
The program is expected to strengthen cross-sector cooperation to achieve national food security targets.
