Inp.polri.go.id - Palu. Tojo Una-una Sub-regional Police, or also known as Touna Police, is set to communicate with the Immigration Office and the Wakai Regional Hospital following the discovery of the body of Swiss citizen in the waters of Una-una Islands, Central Sulawesi, on Sunday evening.
“We are determining the exact cause of death. Coordination with Immigration and the hospital will be conducted for autopsy purposes,” said Touna Police Chief SUperintendent Ridwan J.M. Hutagaol in a statement on Monday (13/1/2025).
The body of the Swiss tourist, identified as Louis Marmy (19), was discovered submerged six meters underwater, 100 meters from Resort Pristine in Binanguna Village, wearing goggles, flippers, a 2 kg weight belt, and orange shorts.
Resort staff brought him to the surface and attempted CPR, but he was unresponsive.
Police, medical personnel, and military units evacuated the body to Wakai Hospital for further investigation.
Marmy was reportedly on his second solo visit to the resort, with his stay booked from 9 to 23 January 2025.
