Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. The Indonesian National Police (INP) uncovered a large-scale hashish production lab operating from a villa in Uluwatu, Badung, Bali.
The lab, linked to an international drug network, was discovered after a September seizure of 25 kilograms of hashish in Yogyakarta.
“This facility used advanced equipment and chemicals, mostly imported from China,” said INP Head of Criminal Investigation Agency Commissioner General Wahyu Widada on Tuesday (19/11/2024).
INP investigators confiscated 18 kilograms of silver-packaged hashish, 12.9 kilograms of gold-packaged hashish, 35,710 happy five pills, 765 hashish cartridges, and 270 kilograms of raw materials sufficient to produce 2,700 more hashish bars.
Four suspects, identified as MR, RR, N, and DA, were arrested during the raid. Described as “cooks,” they were allegedly producing drugs for distribution during the New Year in Bali and Java, with some quantities intended for export.
The suspects face multiple charges under tje narcotics laws, carrying penalties of up to life imprisonment or death, as well as money laundering offenses.
