Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo symbolically handed over 9,648 sacrificial animals—6,169 cows and 3,479 goats—during a ceremony at INPe Headquarters on Friday (6/6/2025).

"These sacrificial animals have been entrusted to the police's qurban committee for further distribution," he said during the ceremony, which was followed by the symbolic handover to committee chair Brigadier General Budhi Herdi Susianto.

The animals were slaughtered at designated facilities and the meat distributed to eligible recipients, including those in police housing, Islamic boarding schools, and orphanages, as reported by antaranews.com.

Several animals were donated by top-ranking officials. Two cows came from General Sigit, with additional donations from INP Deputy Chief Commissioner General Ahmad Dofiri, INP Head of Public Relations Head Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, and Head ofPolice College Inspector General Dadang Hartanto.

All slaughtering followed Islamic guidelines and safety standards, and the process was observed by police personnel to ensure transparency..
