inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Intelligence and geopolitical observer Amir Hamzah emphasized that the formation of the Police Transformation Team was entirely at the direction of President Prabowo Subianto.

According to Amir Hamzah, President Prabowo specifically ordered the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief to form this team to conduct a comprehensive mapping of the internal conditions of the police force.

"The mapping includes institutions, organizations, management, human resources, and regulations related to the existence of the National Police," said Amir Hamzah, Tuesday (9/23/2025).

This Transformation Team will identify various fundamental problems within the police force. A complete report of the team's work will be submitted directly by INP Chief to President Prabowo after his return from his overseas trip.

"This report will be the basis for the President to form the INP Reform Commission, the decision of which will be announced immediately upon his arrival in Indonesia," explained Amir Hamzah.

He also appealed to the public not to misinterpret INP Chief's actions as it is the President's official agenda to push for structured and comprehensive INP reform.

With the formation of the Transformation Team and the planned INP Reform Commission, the government hopes to strengthen police professionalism while addressing various security and law enforcement challenges under the Prabowo Subianto administration.
