inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) affirmed its commitment to strengthening domestic and international cooperation to build a halal ecosystem and make Indonesia a global halal reference.
"Indonesia is collaborating with various foreign halal institutions (LHLN) to expand its halal service network. ASEAN halal standards must be the starting point towards a strong and authoritative global halal ecosystem," said Mamat Salamet Burhanudin, Deputy for Halal Registration and Certification at BPJPH, Tuesday (9/23/2025).
Mamat said this is in line with halal becoming a value that is increasingly taken into account in international business and trade, especially in the food and beverage sector.
"Halal as a standard is closely related to issues of health, hygiene, food safety, nutrition, food security, and even related to genetic engineering of food ingredients. This urgency proves that halal is increasingly recognized as an important factor in the industrial sector and global trade," said Mamat.
To that end, BPJPH is striving to strengthen regulations and share Indonesia's experience in implementing halal certification.
"Indonesia, through BPJPH, continues to develop effective, transparent, accountable, easy, fast, and affordable halal certification services to support the development of the halal ecosystem, both nationally and globally," said Deputy Mamat.
