Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Food Task Force has issued a stern warning against fraudulent reductions in cooking oil volumes, including MinyaKita, emphasizing legal consequences.
“Anyone caught manipulating oil quantities beyond the permissible limit faces up to five years in prison and a Rp 2 billion fine under the Consumer Protection Law,” said Brigadier General Helfi Assegaf, the Director of Special Economic Crimes, during an inspection in Jakarta on Wednesday (12/3/2025).
The task force has already received nine reports of such violations and vowed to take firm action. It will continue monitoring the entire supply chain, from distributors to retailers, until full compliance is ensured,” Chief Helfi added.
Consumers are urged to check product volumes and report any discrepancies. The INP and the Ministry of Trade conducted impromptu inspections at two major distributors to ensure compliance with government standards.
