Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Jakarta Popsivo Polwan delivered a stellar performance in their PLN Mobile Proliga 2025 debut, defeating Bandung bjb Tandamata in straight sets (27-25, 25-23, 25-16)  at GOR Jatidiri stadium in Semarang, Central Java on Saturday (4/1/2025). 

Under the guidance of Argentine coach Gerardo Daglio, Popsivo showcased their dominance, with Turkish star Neriman Ozsoy leading the charge. Her powerful spikes and solid blocks were instrumental in dismantling the opposition, coached by Samsul Jais, according to antaranews.com.

The first set was highly competitive, with Bandung bjb reaching a 24-22 match point. 

However, Popsivo staged a comeback, forcing a deuce and clinching the set 27-25. In the second set, Dominican player Bethania De La Cruz-Mejía played a key role alongside Ozsoy, helping Popsivo secure a 25-23 win.

Popsivo took full control in the third set, with Ozsoy and local standout Shella Bernadetha shining. They closed out the match convincingly with a 25-16 victory.

The Proliga 2025 season spans 10 cities, with regular matches running until23  February 2025. The Grand Final is scheduled for 10 and 11 May 2025 at Indonesia Arena, Jakarta.
