Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration plans to generate 500,000 jobs for high school and university graduates, Deputy Governor Rano Karno revealed the initiative at the 2025 Jakarta Job Fair in East Jakarta on Wednesday (26/2/2025).
Key positions include public facilities personnel (PPSU), fire department staff—where 11,000 roles remain unfilled—and healthcare support teams, commonly called “White Troops”, to assist medical workers serving the elderly.
Deputy Governor Rano said that the Jakarta administration will also support youths seeking overseas employment through language training in Mandarin, Korean, English, and Japanese.
“Dream of working overseas. Language barriers? We provide training,” he encouraged, as quoted by antaranews.com.
To maximize access, monthly job fairs will be held across Jakarta, with the current event featuring 2,000 openings from 40 companies in insurance, automotive, retail, and services. The fair runs from February 26–27, 2025.
