Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) confirmed that 11 houses were damaged and 35 residents affected after a 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck East Bolaang Mongondow, North Sulawesi, on Wednesday morning (26/2/2025).
“Joint teams are conducting data collection, monitoring, and clearing debris at the affected locations,” said Abdul Muhari, the Head of the BNPB’s Data, Information, and Disaster Communication Center, as quoted by antaranews.com,
While no fatalities were reported, BNPB urged local governments and residents to remain vigilant due to potential aftershocks.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has confirmed that the earthquake’s epicenter was located 45 km southeast of Tutuyan, at a depth of 10 km, triggered by activity in the Sangihe subduction zone.
