Inp.polri.go.id - South Lampung. A joint team from the Lampung Regional Police's Water and Air Unit and South Lampung Sub-regional Police evacuated flood-affected residents in Bandar Agung Village, Sragi District, South Lampung.
South Lampung Police Chief Superintendent Yusriandi Yusrin said Wednesday(22/1/2025) that heavy rainfall caused the Way Sekampung River to overflow, necessitating the use of inflatable boats to rescue 20 stranded residents.
“Our main goal is to ensure the safety of residents by relocating them to secure areas,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The team provided bottled water, checked residents' health, and prioritized assistance for children, the elderly, and women. Residents were also advised to safeguard valuables, remain alert, and report rising water levels immediately.
