Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto is confident that Indonesia's children will see improved academic performance thanks to the Free Nutritious Meals program, which launched on 6 January 2025.
“Indonesian children need to be strong, smart, and motivated to study. I’m confident we’ll soon see progress in their academic achievements,” he said during a Cabinet meeting at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (22/1/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The initiative aims to provide free nutritious meals to all Indonesian children by the end of 2025. The program’s targets are 3 million children by 6 April 2025, 6 million by August 2025, and 15 million by September 2025. Currently, 650,000 children across 31 provinces are benefiting from the program.
The President also stressed the importance of integrating technology into education at all school levels, including Islamic boarding schools, to improve teaching and learning.
