Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The 2025 Damai Cartenz Task Force suspected that members of the Lekagak Telenggen armed group set fire to SMP Agandugume junior high school building in Puncak Regency, Central Papua, on Friday night.

“There were no casualties, and the school had been abandoned with no ongoing learning activities,” said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, the Head of the Damai Cartenz Operation 2025, on Saturday (15/2/2025).

Security forces are pursuing the suspects and strengthening patrols in vulnerable areas to prevent further incidents. Authorities urge residents to remain calm, avoid misinformation, and report any suspicious activity.
