inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) appreciates the performance of the Indonesian National Police (INP) in uncovering the sexual abuse of the former Ngada Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Fajar Widyadharma Lukman Sumaatmaja.

KPAI assessed that INP has been very transparent in uncovering the case, shedding light to the case completely.

“I am really glad that the police have completely uncovered this case, completely transparent. This is what we should see of the INP which provides clarity to the public. We have heard thoroughly that the perpetrator has sexually abused three children and a man, and for this case revelation, I appreciate the police for their transparency,” says the Chairperson of KPAI, Ai Maryati Solihah on Thursday (3/13/2025).

Maryati also appreciates that the case reveal was done through scientific crime investigation which also uncovers the crimes in the digital space.

Furthermore, she said that his party saw two crucial sides in the case involving this child. First, KPAI ensures that the victim receives supervision until rehabilitation.

Second, KPAI also ensures that it will continue to monitor the development of law enforcement simultaneously.

“We will continue to monitor the victims which have been approached by our colleagues. We will assure that they will receive physical and psychic rehabilitation and also their safety,” says Ai.

Representing KPAI, Maryati thanked the police and transparently uncovered the case as the investigation continued.
