inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Sulawesi Regional Police has extended the first phase of Madago Raya Operation as a prevention effort against radicalism and intolerance in the province.
“For 2025, the First Phase of Madago Raya Operation continues from January 1st to March 31st,” says the Head of Madago Raya Operation of Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Boy Samola on Thursday (1/2/2025).
He explains that the Madago Raya Operation aims to preserve the security of the region through deradicalization and counter-radicalism movement and campaign. This operation also aims to ensure the safety and comfort of the public as it remains to be the top priority of the government and its institutions.
Operation Madago Raya is a regional operation that is now fully the responsibility of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, unlike the previous operation which was under the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters.
This operation involved 253 joint Indonesian National Military (TNI)-INP personnel, consisting of 238 police and 15 TNI personnel, with the main targets including individuals such as former terrorist convicts, sympathizers, and people who are vulnerable to exposure to radicalism, including teenagers, children, women, and figures.
"The operational area still includes Poso, Parigi Moutong, Tojo Una-una and Sigi Regencies," said Boy Samola.
“With strong cooperation with all public elements, we hope that this operation can go smoothly and be able to create safety and peace in the region,” concludes Samola.
