Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. State-owned defense and commercial equipment manufacturer PT Pindad (Persero) said that production of the Maung MV3 tactical vehicle for state ministers will be completed by the end of 2025.

"We aim to have them ready for delivery by the end of this year," said Prima Kharisma, PT Pindad’s Director of Technology and Development, on Wednesday (26/2/2025).

The Maung MV3 designated for ministers will mirror the version used by President Prabowo Subianto but without armor, making it significantly lighter than the combat-ready variant, according to antaranews.com.

President Prabowo has said that there will be no imported vehicles for ministers and echelon 1 officials.

The Maung MV3, designed by Professor Sigit Puji Santosa of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and PT Pindad’s director, incorporates 70% locally sourced components.
