Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has called on Singapore's Temasek Holdings to expand its investments in Indonesia, particularly in green energy and tech sectors.
“Temasek plays a significant role in Indonesia’s startup ecosystem through capital injections. The government is ready to facilitate its further investments,” he said in a statement on Saturday (19/7/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
During a meeting with Lee Theng Kiat, Chairman of Singtel and Temasek board members, in Jakarta on Friday, both discussed further collaboration in green industrial zones, including Temasek’s commitment through Sembcorp Urban to develop green industry clusters in West Java and Batam.
Chairman Lee expressed appreciation for Indonesia’s continued support, affirming Temasek’s plan to grow its existing investment portfolio and explore new partnerships in Southeast Asia’s largest economy.
Temasek, Singapore’s state-owned investment firm, has long-standing assets in Indonesia via subsidiaries like Singtel, Sembcorp, and DBS, spanning telecom, healthcare, retail, and energy sectors.
