Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Rini Widyantini has issued Regulation No. 17 of 2024 on Conflict of Interest Management, replacing Regulation No. 37 of 2012.
The regulation mandates government officials to declare any potential conflict of interest that could influence their duties or decision-making.
"This regulation ensures that civil servants (ASN) make decisions while avoiding conflicts of interest," she said on Wednesday (11/12/2024).
The regulation will be monitored by government leaders in collaboration with the Ministry of PANRB, according to antaranews.com.
It is also part of the Zona Integritas (Integrity Zone) evaluation, which determines which institutions will receive WBK (Corruption-Free Area) and WBBM (Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area) awards.
According to the regulation, a conflict of interest arises when a government official has a personal stake that could affect the neutrality and quality of their decisions or actions. Managing conflicts ensures fair decision-making and effective governance
