Inp.polri.go.id - Gorontalo. Residents of Leyao Village in North Gorontalo were left in shock on Saturday evening (15/2/2025) when an unusual rain resembling jelly droplets fell from the sky around 8 pm local time.

Ewan Saputra, a local resident, described the moment as surreal.

"At first, we thought it was just heavy rain, but then we noticed jelly-like substances covering the ground and roads," he said, as quoted by antaranews.com. 

Some residents rushed to collect samples, while others recorded the bizarre phenomenon.

The jelly rain lasted for about 30 minutes, leaving many questions unanswered. 

"We don’t know if it affected the entire village or just a specific area, as it happened at night," Ewan added.

The mysterious substance appeared soft and gelatinous, prompting residents to avoid direct contact until more information is available. Scientists have yet to determine the cause of this rare event.
