inp.polri.go.id - Kupang. The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police held a meeting to discuss the Free Nutritious Meal Program (PMBG), which is one of the flagship programs of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. This program aims to improve the welfare and health of the community, especially for vulnerable groups such as school children, pregnant women, and the underprivileged.
Led by the Vice Chief of NTT Regional Police, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, this meeting discussed various strategies so that PMBG can run effectively and on target, especially for school children in the province.
The NTT Regional Police have a target to distribute nutritious food to 3,500 school children in the region. This effort is expected to be an initial step to a significant impact of improving the quality of nutrition and health of school children.
The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, emphasized that the NTT Regional Police will ensure that the distribution of food runs smoothly and according to the established nutritional standards.
"This program aims to ensure that children get sufficient nutritional intake to support their growth and achievements at school. We will work with the National Nutrition Agency and third parties in the provision and distribution of nutritious food," said Senior Commissioner Henry Novika Chandra.
To support the program, the police institution will take part in its implementation, which requires careful planning. Therefore, meetings will be held routinely to evaluate progress and ensure that all steps taken are in accordance with the targets that have been set.
With strong synergy between the NTT Regional Police, the National Nutrition Agency, and related parties, it is hoped that this Free Nutritious Meal Program will be able to improve the health and quality of life of school children in NTT and become a model that can be applied in other areas.
