inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Depok Sub-regional Metro Police together with related agencies to take action against illegal child care centers or Daycare in Depok City. This operation is the result of cases of violence against babies that have recurred.

The Head of Depok Sub-regional Metro Police Women and Children Service Unit, First Police Inspector Dwi Santy Anggraini says that her party has coordinated with Depok City Government to raid the daycares who do not have the legal permit.

“Yesterday our unit coordinated with the City Government and we visited several daycares in Depok to see their legal permits,” says Dwi on Saturday (12/7/2024).

Until now, her party has not found any Daycare that was established without a permit. She assessed that after the violent incident a few days ago, they immediately moved quickly to fix the permit.

Dwi Santy Anggraini said that her party will continue to visit childcare centers every day to conduct licensing raids. This is to anticipate violence against children from happening again.

"Every day our unit will go to daycare centers in Depok for direct review. As of now, none have been found to be illegal,," concluded the Head of Depok Sub-regional Metro Police Women and Children Service Unit
