inp.polri.go.id - Merauke. The Merauke Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit conducted outreach regarding the 2025 Operation Patuh Cartenz, held at the Hilux base on Pasar Baru Mopah Street, Pemuda Merauke, on Sunday (7/20/2025).

This outreach activity was carried out extensively at various strategic locations such as intersections, bus terminals, schools, and other busy areas. Officers distributed brochures, put up banners, and used loudspeakers to educate the public about the importance of orderly traffic.

The Head of the Merauke Sub-regional Police Traffic Unit, Police Senior Inspector Darwis, stated that this year's Operation Patuh prioritizes a preventative and humane approach.

In this operation, the police also collaborated with various parties, including the Transportation Agency, the Hilux base, students, online motorcycle taxi communities, and community leaders, to actively participate in disseminating information.

In addition to law enforcement, officers will also provide sympathetic warnings and convey safety messages through social media.

With this outreach, it is hoped that the public will be more prepared and aware of complying with traffic regulations to ensure safe, secure, orderly, and smooth traffic flow.
