inp.polri.go.id - Central Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) deployed 1,632 joint personnel to secure the demonstration by online motorcycle taxi drivers in the Silang Selatan area of the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta. The thousands of personnel consisted of personnel from the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, and ranks of the Sector Police.

Security began with a Tactical Wall Game (TWG) and a roll call at the Merdeka Barat Police Post, led by Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Susatyo Purnomo Condro. During the roll call, he urged all demonstrators to express their aspirations in an orderly and polite manner.

"We ask those who will be demonstrating to express their opinions politely and not to provoke. Do not burn tires or damage public facilities," appealed Susatyo on Monday (7/21/2025).

He emphasized that security officers were not equipped with firearms and would act humanely while guarding the demonstration. The police also urged the public passing through the Silang Selatan area of Monas to use alternative routes to avoid traffic congestion caused by the demonstration.

"We will continue to serve the public humanely and professionally, while remaining firm in carrying out their duties. We are here to ensure everything is safe and smooth," explained the Police Chief.
