Appointed under Presidential Decree No. 3M of 2026, the former Bank Indonesia (BI) official filled the vacancy for the remainder of the 2024–2029 term. T

"I believe coordination between fiscal and monetary policies will, God willing, become even better and closer, in line with the President's directives to me," said Deputy Minister Juda Agung following the ceremony, as cited by antaranews.com

With extensive experience in financial system stability, he said his familiarity with Ministry of Finance operations. His primary mandate includes harmonizing macroeconomic stability with fiscal discipline. 

This transition from the central bank to the executive branch is expected to streamline policy implementation during a period of heightened scrutiny over Indonesia's investment climate and sovereign credit outlook.
