Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Chairman Erick Thohir welcomed the initial 27-player squad selected by Indonesia’s national team coach Patrick Kluivert for the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Australia and Bahrain.
Coach Kluivert included Dewa United striker Septian Bagaskara, who has scored seven goals and one assist this season, along with new recruit Ole Romeny from Oxford United.
Chairman Erick expressed confidence in the selection, emphasizing that it was a result of discussions with assistant coaches Alex Pastoor and Danny Landzaat.
"The squad is well-balanced with top players in every position, plus three upcoming naturalized players: Dean James, Emil Audero, and Joey Pelupessy," Chairman Erick said, as quoted by antaranews.com on Sunday (9/3/2025).
The final squad will be confirmed before Indonesia’s crucial matches later in March 2025.
