Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) is set to naturalize three diaspora players before Indonesia faces Australia in the third round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers on 20 March 2025.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir confirmed on Saturday (21/2/2025)  that forward Ole Romeny has received FIFA clearance and will strengthen the team, especially with Ragnar Oratmangoen suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

To increase competition for goalkeeper Maarten Paes, PSSI is approaching former Palermo goalkeeper Emil Audero Mulyadi. Discussions are ongoing with midfielder Joey Pelupessy and left-back Dean James to strengthen the squad’s midfield and defensive depth.

PSSI has briefed President Prabowo Subianto and  Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, with further coordination planned with the House of Representatives (DPR) to secure the necessary support for the naturalization process.
