Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police officer Superintendent Ockben Saor Sinaga will represent the Indonesian National Police (INP) in the upcoming World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) 2025 in Birmingham, Alabama, United States, scheduled from 27 June to 6 July 2025.

At 56, Ockben remains determined to compete on the global stage. He will participate in four athletics events: the 100m, 200m sprint, long jump, and triple jump.

“The competition will be tough, especially against athletes from the U.S., France, Italy, and Brazil. I’m not aiming for medals, just for my personal best,” he said during practice at Senayan’s Madya Stadium on Monday (16/6/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

A veteran of the WPFG since 2017, Ockben has a notable track record, including a bronze medal in 2019 (Chengdu, China) and two golds in the 100m event at the 2024 world championship involving nine countries. His personal best in the 100m is 13.46 seconds.

This year, he is part of a larger INP contingent, covering seven sports: athletics, swimming, taekwondo, judo, golf, volleyball, and basketball. The team is set to depart on June 24, with an official send-off by INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on 20 June 2025.

The WPFG is a biennial international competition for police officers and firefighters, fostering global camaraderie through sports.
