Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto has announced a significant reshuffle, promoting and rotating 300 senior officials across various military and government institutions, including the National Intelligence Agency (BIN), BSSN, Basarnas, and several ministries.
The reshuffle includes several key appointments, according to antaranews.com.
Major General Kunto Arief Wibowo has been promoted to Commander of the Joint Defense Area Command I, replacing Admiral Rachmad Jayadi, who is retiring. Lieutenant General Mohammad Fadjar, formerly the TNI Head of Doctrine, Education, and Training Command, now takes over as Commander of the Army Strategic Command (Pangkostrad), replacing Lieutenant General Mohamad Hasan who will lead the TNI Doctrine, Education and Training Command.
In addition, Major General Achiruddin returns to his role as Commander of the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres), and Lieutenant General Nugroho Sulistyo Budi has been appointed Head of the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN).
The reshuffle also involves defense attachés in 11 countries, with several appointees coming from the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS).
These appointments will be finalized once the President’s decree is issued.
