Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Transportation has required the use of the SATUSEHAT application for international travelers to prevent the spread of monkeypox, or Mpox, at airports and into Indonesia.
"This measure follows the designation of Mpox as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 14 August 2024," said M Kristi Endah Murni, the Director General of Air Transportation, on Wednesday (28/8/2024).
The policy is effective from 27 August 2024. It requires all international travelers to fill out an electronic self-declaration form using SATUSEHAT Health Pass before entering Indonesia.
Airlines and foreign carriers are instructed to inform and assist passengers in completing the form via https://sshp.kemkes.go.id before departure. Airport authorities must coordinate with the Health Quarantine Agency to manage Mpox prevention and response measures at international airports.
Director General Kristi emphasized the need for thorough implementation and supervision of this policy to ensure compliance and safeguard public health.
