Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh confirmed that 107 Indonesians detained by Cambodian police for alleged involvement in an online scam network are in good health and safe.

“All 107 Indonesians have been moved to the Cambodian Immigration Detention Center in Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh. They will be deported in several phases,” the embassy said in a statement Thursday (13/11/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The arrests took place on 31 October 2025, as part of a large-scale, coordinated crackdown on international online fraud syndicates. Embassy officials met the detainees on November 2, providing legal and consular assistance.

Among the detainees is a married couple, with the wife four months pregnant, both reported to be in good condition.

The Indonesian Embassy in Phnom Penh will continue to oversee the deportation process and assist all Indonesians involved. The embassy also urged Indonesians not to fall for fake job offers promising high pay and easy work abroad.
