Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang.  A group of 11 Indonesian citizens evacuated from Iran arrived safely at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Banten, on Tuesday evening (24/6/2025), marking the third wave of repatriations amid escalating Iran-Israel tensions.

They landed at 5.35 pm local time aboard Turkish Airlines flight TK 56 from Baku via Istanbul, according to antaranews.com.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this group is part of a total of 97 people evacuated under President Prabowo Subianto’s directive.

Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs, Andy Rachmianto, said the evacuees had been temporarily relocated to Baku, Azerbaijan, due to airport closures in Iran.

Among the evacuees were three embassy staff and one Iranian national, the spouse of an Indonesian citizen.

Flight delays affected 18 others stranded in Qatar after Iranian retaliatory strikes led to temporary airspace closures. The 11 returnees will continue on to their home provinces in East Java and East Kalimantan.
