inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Social Department of Jakarta, as of January to September 2024, has repatriated 1,113 displaced people back to their hometown.

"We escort them to the bus pool according to their repatriation destination and departure schedule," said the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service (Dinsos), Premi Lasari, Thursday (3/10/24).

The Head of the Social Service said that his party is collaborating with Perum Damri to repatriate thousands of displaced people. Meanwhile, the repatriation destination areas include Lampung, Tasikmalaya, Cilacap, Semarang and Surabaya.

Lestari explained that the identification and verification process (fingerprint checking and recording), data collection and documentation of displaced people were carried out first before being repatriated to their areas of origin.

After that, an assessment was carried out involving Social Workers, Social Counselors and Social Service, Supervision and Control Officers (Satgas P3S).

Then a cover letter is made to the Social Service of the local government of destination and a vehicle ticket. "After that, we take them to the bus pool according to the repatriation destination and departure schedule," explained the Head of Social Service.

The criteria for the displaced people who can be given repatriation services are they who are victims of fraud, victims of criminal acts (such as hypnosis, pickpocketing and others), and victims of employment scam.

The Head of Social Service hopes that the repatriation of the unfortunates is not just an administrative step, but also a real form of social concern and shared responsibility in creating a more humane and just city.
