One example is the rapid response of the Jambi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit in handling wildfires in the Berbak National Park area, Rantau Rasau Village, East Tanjung Jabung Regency on Monday, September 21, 2026.
The Commander of the Jambi Regional Police Mobile Brigade, Senior Superintendent Budi Hidayat, directly led the forest and land fire response activities in the area, specifically at the Berbak Command Post.
In this response, the Jambi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit used 70 canisters or 1,400 liters of X-Fire SILOG POLRI 01 liquid as part of efforts to expedite extinguishing and prevent the fires from spreading.
X-Fire liquid is an innovation by the Indonesian National Police (INP) Logistic Division used to support fire management, particularly in areas characterized by peatland. This formula has several advantages in assisting the extinguishing process more effectively and efficiently.
One of its advantages is its efficient water use. With a mixture of 800 liters of water and 200 liters of X-Fire formula, 1,000 liters of the mixture is said to be equivalent in effectiveness to 5,000 liters of pure water.
Furthermore, the X-Fire formula is designed to penetrate peat soil and help extinguish embers beneath the surface. The liquid is also intended to cool burned areas, thereby helping prevent the fire from reigniting.
Head of Public Relations of Jambi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji, stated that the use of appropriate handling facilities and methods is part of the Jambi Police's efforts to accelerate the handling of forest and land fires, especially in areas characterized by peatland.
"We continue to optimize all available resources and facilities in handling wildfires. The use of X-Fire liquid is one effort to accelerate extinguishing, cool burned areas, and prevent the fire from reigniting," said Erlan.
According to him, handling forest and land fires in peat areas requires quick and precise steps because the fire can spread to the ground and has the potential to reappear if the embers are not completely extinguished.
