inp.polri.go.id - Yahukimo. The joint force of Damai Cartenz Ops, Yahukimo Sub-regional Police, Indonesian National Military (TNI) successfully evacuated 15 bodies of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) victims. The evacuation was held at several points around the gold mine site.

The latest evacuation was held at Area 22 and Area 33 of the Yahukimo gold mine, and also at Tanjung Pamali. The three bodies now are evacuated to Dekai Hospital for further identification by the police.

Other than bodies, the team also managed to rescue two people, Johanis Adu and Suwito, who were found at Tanjung Pamali. They were immediately evacuated to Dekai and are currently undergoing medical and psychological treatment.

According to the Vice Head of Damai Cartenz Task Force, Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga explains that the evacuation process is going smoothly.

“The evacuation process was going smoothly and we will continue to search for other victims while pursuing the perpetrators,” says Adarma on Monday (5/14/2025).

The Head of Damai Cartenz Public Relations Task Force, Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo says that 12 of the 15 bodies were returned to their respective families.

The Task Force emphasized their commitment in continuing the evacuation process, identifying victims, and the pursuit of the perpetrators.
